Early life and education
Nabil Bin Billal was born on January 1, 2008 in Brahmanbaria, Chittagong, Bangladesh. He completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 2024 with a Golden A+ (GPA 5.0, 1270 marks), earning a Government Scholarship. He completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in 2026 in the Science Group from Brahmanbaria Govt. College, studying Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology while simultaneously building software, AI models and leading the college science club's digital platform.
Career
Billal is a full-stack developer working across both the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and the PHP stack (Raw PHP, Laravel, WordPress, MySQL). He prefers raw PHP for its speed and security, and uses Laravel and WordPress when the project calls for it. For modern, cutting-edge projects, he reaches for the MERN stack. He has been building web applications since 2023 and has shipped over 15 projects. He is the Secretary and Lead Developer of the Brahmanbaria Govt. College Science Club, where he built and maintains the club's official platform with over 23,000 lines of production code. The platform handles registration, project showcase, admin panel, SEO and daily operations for the club.
Science and research
Billal is actively involved in science communication and research. He built BGCPlantDoc, an AI-driven crop disease detection system with 85,000+ training images and 152 neural layers, which won 1st place at the Science Fair 2026. He also built BanglaNLP, an open-source Bangla NLP toolkit for tokenization, POS tagging, NER and sentiment analysis. He received a Special Honour at the International Computer Science Competition 2026 for submitting code that passed all test cases, and another Special Honour at the Global Quantum Mechanics Challenge 2026 for submitting a digitally written document. He won 1st place (regional round) at both the National Science Fair 2025 and the Government Science Olympiad 2026, and was a winner at the National Math Olympiad 2025.
Writing
Billal is a Contributing Writer at The Teen Magazine, writing science, education and teen-focused articles for a global audience. He is the author of "Internet & Protocols: A Blueprint of the Internet System", a beginner-friendly exploration of how the internet works, covering IP, TCP, HTTP, DNS, cloud computing, the dark web and more. He publishes regularly on Substack (nabilbinbillal.substack.com) and has written for Bidibo News and Notun Protidin.
Server and DevOps
Billal has extensive experience in server management, including provisioning from scratch, hardening, disaster recovery and performance tuning. He works with Nginx, Apache, reverse proxies, SSL, firewall rules, cron jobs and monitoring. He has recovered hacked and compromised servers, restored destroyed deployments and secured vulnerable WordPress and Node.js installations. He also has experience hosting AI model endpoints and managing API deployments.

Billal is a science enthusiast with interests in physics, telecommunications, mathematics and artificial intelligence. He is fluent in Bengali (native) and has professional proficiency in English (Duolingo 129 pts). He also has elementary proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, Italian and Spanish. He is a member of the 3ZERO Club, engaging in environmental sustainability projects.
